Pictures sent by students following a workshop

I’m always in awe of my students’ colour choices and combinations. Normally at the end of classes I am to be heard saying, “Now why didn’t I think of those colours together!”

Some of these wonderful pictures have been sent to me by students following a workshop. Others are pictures I’ve taken during our workshops.

It was a lovely surprise when Jenny Wilson showed me her fish “Titanic” at the GBBS (2009), which she made following my Gorgeous Giorgio instructions in the BWG Journal. She sent me this picture of him, used as a decoration on a birthday card. I love his colours and the way she’s adapted the pattern to suit a slightly different shaped stone donut. He looks rather like a puffer fish, I think. Apparently he got the name Titanic because he was named after a pet fish that sank to the bottom of the tank!
