Whilst working on the settings for the crystals in the Lorenzo de Medici bracelet design, I had been searching for more colours of Space Cut crystals and found the delicious square Chessboards. Although they had the same base dimensions they were flatter and I felt they lent themselves to a more delicate design. They still have that Florentine air and I love wearing them; the Luisa design also works perfectly as a dainty little pendant on a simple chain, to match the earrings. I wrote up the instructions and they appeared in issue 40 of Bead magazine
I’ve now made these earrings in a number of different colourways and the design is available as a kit or instructions alone.
