Fan-tastic Variations
A couple of years ago I played around with some stitch variations to try and achieve an undulating 2 dimensional wave.
Fantasy Garden Cuffs
These were so much fun to make, with the bonus that I used up a lot of my bead stash. It was great replenishing stocks - I didn't feel at all guilty!
Gorgeous Giorgio
I got my inspiration for these when the Guild asked me to design a piece using some Miyuki beads and Swarovski crystals for the 10 year anniversary journal supplement in April.
Grapevines
This project grew from my love of Greece. Of course the beads translated perfectly to grapes, worked on a wire base.
Plato the Frog
He just sits and contemplates. I'm building a wildlife pond home for him and probably some dragonflies.
Posh Premier Bag
When it comes to exploring different bead sizes in wirework vessels, I had the perfect stash of lovely big beads to use.
The Octopus Garden
This all started with the little cockle shell. I had been eating scallops and the shells were sitting on the table close to my beadwork.
Amphoras
The Blue Amphora is another product of leftovers; this time from the blue vase which has my grapevine entwined around it.

This all started with the little cockle shell. I had been eating scallops and the shells were sitting on the table close to my beadwork. I was currently working on the early versions of the Fan-tastic Variations and saw a shell shape within. I isolated a single fan and added a little Magatama drop bead as the pearl in the centre. The Octopus... [Read more of this review]
Scintillating Spheres It was Isobelle Bunting who named these as such. I submitted them to the Guild as a workshop entitled Bucky Balls or Beaded Spheres, but she said “No my dear, they are Scintillating Spheres”. Ever since I read about these spheres made of carbon atoms I wanted to make one in beads. The smallest spherical structure comprises... [Read more of this review]
As a little girl, I used to take a tin of beads and treasures into the school playground with me and a few of us would sit in a secret corner and swap our prized possessions. Being a bit of a Magpie, I never got tired of my collection and added to them through the years. My great aunt helped no end by giving me long strings of beads when I used to... He just sits and contemplates. I’m building a wildlife pond home for him and probably some dragonflies. He’ll have to wait a while though, as it’s a long term project. Who would make a good friend for him in his pond? Let me know by dropping your suggestion in the comment form below. Have a look at the rest of the images. Plato... [Read more of this review]
This project grew from my love of Greece. Of course the beads translated perfectly to grapes, worked on a wire base. The design worked well for jewelry as well as decoration, in 8ºs, 11ºs and 15ºs. I added tendrils when used as a decoration but not as a necklace as they’d scratch. Blue Vase & Grapevine ... [Read more of this review]
